How to open the cabinet of Frigidaire brand dryers :

Opening the cabinet of Frigidaire models
Note:
Disconnect the power source to your dryer before you begin to open its cabinet. Either unplug the unit from the wall outlet, remove the appropriate fuse from the fuse box, or flip the appropriate breaker in the circuit breaker panel.

There should be a removable kickplate found at the bottom of the dryer. Remove this kickplate by removing the two screws found at the bottom. Let the kickplate drop down just a little to disengage the two pins found on its top.

If your dryer has an enamelled top, you can raise it by releasing the two spring catches found under it. Use a putty knife (or some other thin and flat object) to push in on and disengage each catch.

Remove the two screws (some models will have four) that secure the bottom of the front panel. As you remove the front panel, disconnect the door switch and any other wiring, taking careful note of which wires are to be reconnected where.

If your dryer has a galvanized top, remove the screws from the front panel, and then remove the front panel itself. As you remove the front panel, disconnect the door switch and any other wiring, taking careful note of which wires are to be reconnected where.
