This dryer drum belt has four ridges, three grooves, 1/4-inch wide and 92 1/4-inch long. The belt helps rotate the drum. If the drum does not rotate and you can still hear the motor running, the belt may have broken and will need to be replaced. This is a genuine OEM part. This 3-wire with leads dryer door switch is an on and off mechanism that prevents the dryer from operating while the door is open. The dryer will not operate until the door switch signals that the dryer door is closed. This thermal cut-off kit for a dryer includes one high limit thermostat with a limit of 250 degrees Fahrenheit, and one thermal cut-off fuse (309 degrees). The thermal cut-off (fuse) is meant to trip at a higher temperature than that of a high limit thermostat. This is a one-time use fuse, so when it does trip, you must replace it. The hi-limit thermostat acts as a safety mechanism that keeps the dryer from overheating. Once the dryer temperature reaches a certain point, this piece will shut down power to the heating element. The three-terminal high-limit thermostat with a terminal extension arm acts as a safety mechanism that keeps the dryer from overheating. When the dryer temperature reaches 221 degrees Fahrenheit, the thermostat will shut off power to the heating element until it drops by 80 degrees Fahrenheit. If your dryer has no heat, takes too long to dry or the thermostat has shorted out, you will need to replace the thermostat. This is a genuine OEM part.
