The high limit thermostat protects the dryer by shutting off the heating element when the dryer overheats. If the thermostat has blown, dryer won’t start or there is no heat, the thermostat will need to be replaced it can not be reset. If your dryer vent is clogged it could cause the thermostat to blow as well. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to the dryer before starting the repair.

The drive belt is made to wrap around the drum, working with the tension pulley to rotate the drum. If your dryer drum will not turn, then you may need to replace your belt. The blower housing exhaust thermostat works in conjunction with your dryer by helping to regulate the temperature inside of the dryer drum. The thermostat will turn the heat off and on to help maintain the required temperature in the drum. If your dryer is not heating the thermostat may have shorted out and will need to be replaced.
