This genuine Whirlpool water filter is used in your refrigerator to help reduce contaminants that may be in your household water supply. The water filter measures 2 1/2” in diameter and 10 1/2” long and is in the filter housing inside of your refrigerator. It is recommended to replace the water filter every 6 months for best performance. This water filter will fit all Whirlpool and KitchenAid refrigerators with a water filter located in the base grill below the door. Also, for Kenmore models starting with 106. This genuine replacement water inlet valve with tubing supplies water to the ice maker and water dispenser. The valve is 120 volts and 50/60 Hz. If your ice maker is not making ice or no water is coming from the dispenser, you may need to replace this part. The manufacturer has updated the water inlet valve and it no longer includes the removable pre-filter bracket. If you are unable to reuse the old removable pre-filter bracket, order part number WPW10445062. Please remember to disconnect the water and power supply before starting your repair.

This icemaker can be used with 25-27 cubic feet refrigerators that have a vertical auger dispenser located on the freezer door. Reuse bottom bracket from the original icemaker and attach to the new.

The filter is NOT included with this part. This part has a 1/4" and a 5/16" push on fittings - that way, you can push in the water lines for easy installation.

The run capacitor is attached to the compressor. This part helps the compressor kick on and off while maintaining a constant temperature to keep things frozen in your freezer. If your refrigerator is too warm, will not start, or your freezer section is too warm, you may need to replace this part. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect power to your refrigerator before starting your repair.

This part is used to help tell the icemaker what to do - it turns the timing cams and the ejector blades. It also controls the heater, the water inlet valve, the cube size, and cube ejection. The control assembly is located under the white cover of the ice maker. If the ice maker is making too much ice or not making ice at all, you may need to replace the control assembly. The motor is not sold separately. This is a genuine OEM part. Please make sure you disconnect power to the refrigerator before starting your repair.
