If your light bulb is burnt out it will need to be replaced. Before you change the bulb, be sure to check that the light socket still works, as it may need to be replaced as well. The vent damper is used to close off the exhaust duct when the fan is not running, to prevent outside air from entering the microwave. When the fan turns on it allows air to vent away from the microwave. The damper measures approximately 10-inch long by 3-inchwide and is a genuine OEM part.

This microwave micro switch is normally open and when the door is shut, the door switch will close to send power to the microwave to operate. If the microwave won’t start, then the switch has failed and will need to be replaced. The micro switch is in the latch board section and due to the high voltage capacitor in the microwave, it can retain a lethal electrical charge. Even when unplugged, it is suggested to have a service technician install the part. This is a genuine OEM part.

This bracket holds the metal or plastic flapper that closes off the exhaust duct when the fan is not running and opens when the fan turns on. If the exhaust fan on your microwave does not appear to be working, the problem may be with the damper assembly. If the damper does not open and close easily, check for any damage to the bracket, and replace if it is damaged or faulty.
