The thermal fuse, also known as a safety thermostat, protects the oven range from overheating. If the oven range overheats, the fuse is blown to cut power off to the oven range. Once the fuse has blown, the oven range will no longer heat and the fuse will need to be replaced. The thermal fuse measures approximately 1” and can also be used in a microwave, check your model number. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to the appliance before starting the repair.

The radiant surface element supplies heat to a cooking area on top of the range. The surface element is located under the main cooktop and It has an outside diameter of approximately 12” and includes the limiter. If the radiant surface element will not heat, you will need to replace it with this part. Before replacing the defective element, make sure the element is cool, and the power is disconnected from your range.
