The surface burner terminal block kit includes one plastic block, metal bracket, wires, and high-temperature nuts. This part is used to connect the wire harness to the surface burner element. If your element will not heat at all, or if it is not heating properly, it is likely an issue with the terminal block and it will need to be replaced. This part is a genuine OEM part. This newer-style terminal block kit includes two metal brackets, two pre-crimped wires with terminals, two ceramic wire nuts, a heat shrinking tube, and a mounting screw. This part is used to connect the wire harness to the surface burner element. The terminal block provides a way of connecting individual electrical wires and offers protection from electrical surges, voltages and currents. This part will also allow you to attach the power cord to the inner wiring of your range. If the terminal block has shorted out or the range is not getting the proper power, this part will need to be replaced.
