When energized, the water inlet valve will release water from the supply line into the ice mold and the water dispenser in the refrigerator. If the ice maker is not making or dispensing ice, not dispensing water, or leaking, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is in the back section of your refrigerator and will need to be pulled out from the wall. Make sure to disconnect both the water and power supply before starting your repair. NOTE: This part may appear different than the original but is an authorized manufacturer replacement.

If your ice maker is not making ice or no water is coming from the dispenser, you may need to replace this part. The manufacturer has updated the water inlet valve and it no longer includes the removable pre-filter bracket. The manufacturer has redesigned the valve; it may appear different than the original. The updated valve has a new quick connection. To install the updated valve, cut the retaining nut off the existing water line and gently push into the new valve. This is a genuine OEM part.
