The single water inlet valve is used to supply water to the water dispenser and the ice maker. The valve is 60Hz 120 Volts and 35 watts. If your ice maker isn’t producing ice or the water dispenser not dispensing water, the solenoid might have gone bad and will need to be replaced. This valve includes 1/4” tubing and a plastic union. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power and the water supply to the refrigerator before starting the repair.

When energized, the water inlet valve will release water from the supply line into the ice mold and the water dispenser in the refrigerator. If the ice maker is not making/dispensing ice, not dispensing water, or leaking, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is in the back section of your refrigerator and will need to be pulled out from the wall and make sure to disconnect both the water and power supply before starting your repair. As per the manufacturer, this valve has a new quick connection. You must cut the retaining nut off your current plastic water line, and gently push it into the new valve.

To install the updated valve, cut the retaining nut off the existing water line and gently push into the new valve. This is a genuine OEM part. The connection ports on the water inlet valve are John Guess fittings. To remove, it is recommend to push the line in and then hold the ring in. While holding the ring in, pull the line out. To re-install, push the line in until there is resistance. Push until the line "pops" in another 1/4". Pull on the line with out touching the ring to seat seal. This is a genuine OEM part and inclused 5/16" inlet tube.
