The door latch hook works in conjunction with your microwave door and the door switches by keeping the microwave door closed during operation. The microwave will not operate if the door is not closed. The door latch hook is made of plastic, black in color, measures 7 1/2” and has a double hook latch. If your door won’t stay closed the hook may be damaged and will need to be replaced. This is a genuine OEM part. Please make sure to disconnect the power to the microwave before starting the repair.

The locker, or door latch assembly fits to the inside of the microwave door, and keeps the door closed. If the door on your microwave oven doesn’t appear to close properly, you may have a problem with the door latch assembly. This locker is made of plastic and measures 7 inches long x 2 inches wide. If either of the hooks is broken or does not have any spring tension, you may need to replace the assembly.

The door open lever is used to release the door latch when the door release button is pushed. If your microwave door is stuck or won’t open, you may need to replace the lever. This part is black in color, made of plastic and measures 4.5” L x 1.25” W x 1” H. The door open lever is a genuine OEM part.
