Door catch kit (door catch)

This door catch kit contains two door strikes and three door catches to service dryer doors that have one or two catches. Make sure to read the instructions to determine which one to use for your model. These parts keep the dryer door closed to allow the dryer to operate. If your door won't stay closed or will not start you may need to replace this part. This is a genuine OEM part.

Lid switch (door switch (alternate))

The door switch is a simple on/off mechanism that prohibits the dryer from operating when the door is open. The dryer cannot operate until the door switch signals that the door is closed. If your dryer will not start or the switch shorted out, your washer will not operate and the switch will need to be replaced. This switch is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect power to the dryer before starting the repair.

Screw, 8/18 x 3/8 (no. 8 x 3/8 screw)

This screw is sold individually.

Dryer door switch actuator spring/lever (door switch clip)

This black actuator spring with white rubber tip is used for both dryer doors and washer lids.

Door cable (cable)

This dryer door cable is intended for use with spring part number PS343422. This cable is compatible with many of Whirlpool/Kenmore's brands of gas and electric clothes dryers.

Cover screw (no. 10-12 x 1/2 screw)

Front top lock (top lock)

This part is used to secure the top panel to the cabinet. Sold individually.

Single door spring (cable spring)

***The manufacturer suggests to replace both springs at the same time.***

This screw is a little under an inch long and is made of metal. It is used with a refrigerator's ice maker assembly. Sold individually.

Bearing and seal kit (bearing block)

This front bearing and seal kit comes with the adhesive.

Clamp-motor (motor clip)

This clamp is used to secure the drive motor.

Toe panel clip kit (clip)

Hex nut (no. 8-32 nut)

This hex nut will work with a variety of appliances. This part is made of metal and measures 8-32 x .124. Over time the hex nut will wear out and will need to be replaced and is recommended to order a spare. This is a genuine OEM part and sold individually.
