Dishwasher dish rack adjuster kit - left and right side (adjuster)

The rack adjuster connects to the dishrack and is used to change the height of the rack. This kit includes the parts to replace the left and right-side rack adjusters and has been upgraded to a more durable metal design. This kit includes 2 adjuster assemblies, 1 left-hand and 1 right-hand actuator cover, 2 gray adjuster covers, and 2 gray adjuster housings. The most common symptoms linked with faulty rack adjusters include: leaking, door latch failure, door not closing, dishes not cleaning properly, and failure to start the washing cycle. It is recommended to replace both the right and left side adjusters at the same time.This is a genuine OEM part.

Lower dishrack wheel (wheel)

The lower rack wheel assembly attaches to the rack to allow you to slide the rack in and out easily. The wheel is gray in color, made of plastic, and approximately 6 inches long. This rack wheel assembly is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually.

Rack stop clip (stop)

This rack stop clip works for either the right or left side of your upper dish rack. This part is sold individually.

Mounting bracket

The mounting bracket is used to attach the dishwasher to the underside of the counter. The mounting bracket holds the dishwasher in place to keep it from moving during cycles and to keep the dishwasher level. The bracket is made of metal and is approximately 3” in length. The screws are not included with the bracket, they must be ordered separately. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power and the water supply to the dishwasher before starting the repair.

Dishwasher positioner (positioner)

Also known as rack adjuster. Sold individually. This is an original part from KitchenAid, Kenmore, Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, and Maytag for use with Dishwashers. The dishrack adjuster arm positioner clip holds the adjuster arm in the right position on the dishrack. The most common reason for replacing the strap is if the rack will not stay in its desired position. This part is sold individually. There are no tools needed to replace the positioner.

Lower dishrack (dishrack)

This genuine OEM Whirlpool lower dishrack is used to hold the dishes in place during the operation of the cycles. The lower rack is gray in color and includes the rack only. You can remove the rollers from the old rack and use them on the new dish rack.

Tine row

The tine row is located on the lower dishrack. The tine row can be raised or lowered to provide more room in the lower dishrack. Over time the tine row can become rusted, damaged, or lost, and will need to be replaced. The manufacturer has updated the tine row, it may look different but it will still fit like the original. This part measures approximately 19 1/2” long and is made of metal. This is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually.

Dishwasher dishrack adjuster (adjuster)

Sold individually. This dishrack adjuster is for dishwashers. Dishrack adjuster lets you change the height of the dishwasher's upper rack. Wear work gloves to protect your hands when installing this part.

Drawer track (track)

This drawer track or rack slider bar is for use in your dishwasher. It connects to the upper dish rack, and allows the rack top slide in and out. You may need to replace this part if your old rack will not slide out, or your old drawer track is warped and causes the dish rack wheels to fall off or jam. You will need a flat blade screwdriver to remove the rear stop, so you can pull out the drawer track.

Rubber washer (heater terminal nut)

The black heating element washer goes between the heating element and the dishwasher tub to form a seal where the element attaches to prevent water from leaking during its cycle. If the washer goes bad it will cause water to leak out on to the floor. This part is made of rubber, measures approximately 1” in diameter and is sold individually. This is a genuine OEM part.

Dishwasher drain pump (drain pump)

Touch-up paint - white (tuchup)

This 18 ml bottle of white appliance touch-up paint is used to cover scratches or marks on your appliance. The white touch-up paint can be used on refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, clothes dryers, and freezers. This is a genuine OEM part and includes a brush applicator. Please remember to wear gloves to protect your hands when applying this paint.

Dishwasher inlet valve (inlet valve)

This water inlet valve should be located behind the lower kick plate panel in either the right or left corner. The attaching solenoids on the valve open and close according to the desired amount of water needed.

Dishwasher door seal (gasket)

Door seal seals the gap between the opening to the dishwasher tub and the outer edge of the door.

Dishwasher filter (filter)

This filter works with the water pump in your dishwasher. It prevents debris from entering the pump and causing damage. As a result, the filter can occasionally become clogged or damaged, and will need to be replaced. A good indication of a damaged filter is if your dishwasher is not draining or cleaning the dishes properly. This filter has a gray plastic top and bottom that are approximately 5 inches in diameter. This is a genuine OEM part that comes directly from the manufacturer. To replace the filter, simply turn it counterclockwise to unlock, and then screw in the new filter
