Handle screw (door handle mounting post)

This handle screw, also known as a mounting bolt, is a mounting screw to help secure the door handle to your refrigerator door. If your handle is loose, you may just need to tighten the screw. If your screw is missing or broken, it may need to be replaced. There are multiple handle screws on your fridge, please consider ordering extra as they commonly wear at the same rate. This is about 1 inch long and metallic in color.

Refrigerator door switch (refrigerator door or freezer drawer switch)

The light switch lights up the interior cabinet of the refrigerator or freezer when the door is opened. If you open the door and the light won’t come on, or the light is always on, you may need to replace the light switch. The switch is white in color and measures approximately 2 1/2”. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power before starting the repair.

Refrigerator ice maker assembly (refrigerator ice maker kit. If the icemaker is not working make sure the freezer temperature is around zero degrees fahrenheit. If so, the icemaker or)

This ice maker assembly is for refrigerators. Ice maker assembly contains the complete ice maker and housing. The assembly may include multiple parts; refer to your parts diagram for a complete list of parts included. Safely store any food that could deteriorate while the power is off and unplug the refrigerator when installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

Evaporator fan motor

This 13-volt evaporator fan motor helps circulate air over the refrigerator coils. These coils will then convert the heat into cool air, which is then circulated from the freezer section to the fresh food section. If the fresh food section is too warm or the motor has failed, you will need to replace the evaporator fan motor. It is suggested to replace the thermistor when replacing the evaporator fan. The fan motor is in the freezer section of the refrigerator, and includes the harness and plug. Please remember to disconnect the power to the refrigerator before starting your repair. This is a genuine OEM part.

Compressor (replacement compressor)

This part must be installed by a licensed and trained LG technician that is able to perform a software update, which is required for the installation of this compressor. Part number CJT30000002 is needed to perform the update. Also, the three pins on the side of the new compressor may be oriented differently than the original. If different, when installing the new compressor the compressor electrical connector must be rotated 45 degrees counter-clockwise.
