Power Nut Kit

If your trash compactor ram gets stuck or does not stop at the end of the compacting cycle you may need to replace the power nut. The power nut is intended for use with trash compactors. This part is attached to the side of the ram where it is threaded. When the power screw rotates, it is fed through the power nut which pulls the ram down to compress the trash. This power nut is white in color and made from plastic. Please remember to disconnect the power to the trash compactor before starting your repair.

Rotary Switch Kit

This rotary on/off switch kit comes with an on-off rotary switch and two chrome knobs. The switch is used to power the trash compactor. Once activated, the switch will send a voltage signal to the motor to start the compacting cycle. Directional Switch

This part reverses the motor direction when the trach compactor has reached the top of the drawer. If the cycle is not being completed properly, is making loud noises, or does not shut off, the top limit directional switch may need to be tested by using a multimeter to test the continuity. If there is no electrical path in the switch, it will need to be replaced.
