This GE drum bearing slide is sold individually. The slides attach to the outer-most sides of the dryers drum. Manufactures do recommend replacing both slides at once. These drum bearing slides are white in color, made from plastic and approximately 3 inches long.

Expert Repair Guide

  1. To replace the drum bearing slide, to begin make sure to disconnect power from the dryer.
  2. To begin, remove the screws inside the door, on the top part of the door jamb.
  3. Then lifted up and removed the top.
  4. Remove the screws holding the front panel in place.
  5. Hold tension on the drum while removing the front panel.
  6. Carefully turn the panel to access the drum bearing without damaging the wires connecting it to the front panel.
  7. Carefully pry off the old drum bearing; if you’re having difficult a flat bladed screwdriver can be used.
  8. Insert the new slides onto the drum.
  9. Once installed, lift up the drum and put the front panel back on.
  10. Reattach the front panel back and then the top via the door jamb.
