The drum glide helps the front drum rotate smoothly and quietly while operating. If your dryer won’t tumble or is noisy, the glide could be worn down, causing a metal on metal noise. In this case it will need to be replaced. It is recommended to replace both glides at the same time and two is required for the dryer. The drum glide is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually. Please remember to disconnect the power to the dryer before starting your repair.

After testing my late 80's to early 90's RCA Whirlpool dryer with my multimeter, I found that the problem was a bad heat element. I purchased this 5200 watt, 240V element that worked perfectly. Always check the new element for continuity and the reading should be around 10.3 ohms or so. Very quick and easy fix.
