Water dispenser works fine. Still no ice. So, on to the control module. After that it will probably be a new ice maker. If not that, I can't imagine tearing out the PCB but what the heck. Almost worth a service call for someone with a volt meter.

Was an easy repair on the overall.
I was really glad to finally get this part as it was on back order for 2 full months before it arrived at my house. It would have been a lot easier if there was a note saying that while it is a genuine replacement part that it might be different colored plastic and the order of the solenoids might be different. That was a little confusing at first and considering the price I definitely didn't want to hook it up wrong. Once a friend of mine told me to look behind the toe kick on the front of my unit to find the schematic (which was lost/stuck in the glass fiber insulation), was I able to find an extremely tiny note saying that they won't work anyway, unless they are grounded to the chassis. I was trying to test it out before going through the hassle of putting it all back together but didn't think of the grounding issue. It was helpful to find that the spade terminals were correct for the size of the different associated circuits. One set was 3/16" and the other 1/4", so all I had to do was reverse the order of the plugs behind the assembly to get them to match correctly. I also had to drill apart the original solenoids frame from the inlet valve frame to replace the unit. Then when I put it back together it was much easier to get the only two machine screws on the back to hold both brackets to the refrigerator frame and complete the chassis ground. I was lucky and didn't need to add in the extra tubing and connector, but it was sure nice to already have it just in case I did need it! This is NOT my first experience with EASY Appliance Parts and so far they are always on the money with the correct part and available help if needed with the toll free phone 7 days a week. I figured it out without having to call but just like the extra tubing it is nice to know that they are there if you need them!!
