Expert Repair Guide

  1. To replace the drum bearing slide, first make sure to disconnect power from the dryer
  2. Remove the screws holding the back cover from the control panel
  3. Then remove the top panel, to access the screws on top of the control panel
  4. Once those are removed, lift off the control panel and set it on top of the dryer.
  5. Then disconnect the two wiring harnesses from the door
  6. Next, remove the screws on the front panel so you can pull it forward and off the front of the dryer
  7. You may need to support the drum to loosen the front panel
  8. Once it’s been removed, you’ll have access to the drum bearing slides; these are located around the edge of the drum and can be removed by gently prying them off with a screwdriver.
  9. Once you’ve remove the old slides, just push the new slides in place
  10. Installation is simply the reverse of removal.
