Idler Pulley Assembly

The idler pulley wheel provides the tension for a multi-ribbed belt and helps the belt to rotate the drum. The drum will not spin if the idler pulley fails to put the correct amount of tension on the belt. The wheel is white in color and is made of plastic. If the drum will not tumble, is noisy, or will not start, you may need to replace this part. This idler pulley is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to your dryer before you start your repair.

Lid Switch

The door switch is a simple on/off mechanism that prohibits the dryer from operating when the door is open. The dryer cannot operate until the door switch signals that the door is closed. If your dryer will not start or the switch shorted out, your washer will not operate and the switch will need to be replaced. This switch is a genuine OEM part. The drum glide helps the front drum rotate smoothly and quietly while operating. If your dryer won’t tumble or is noisy, the glide could be worn down, causing a metal on metal noise. In this case it will need to be replaced. It is recommended to replace both glides at the same time and two is required for the dryer. The drum glide is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually.
