Temperature sensor (refrigerator or freezer temperature sensor (also called a thermistor).)

The temperature sensor, also known as a thermistor, helps detect the temperature inside the refrigerator and sends the information to the control board. If your refrigerator is too warm or not cooling properly, you may need to replace the temperature sensor. This is a genuine OEM part. Please make sure to disconnect the power to the refrigerator before starting your repair.

Dispenser door assembly or flapper (refrigerator ice dispenser damper door. The crank is no longer sold with the damper door. You will have to reuse the old crank.)

The ice chute door opens to dispense ice once activated. This part mounts in the ice dispenser. If it is too warm inside your refrigerator, there is frost build up, or your icemaker will not make or dispense ice, you may need to replace the ice chute door. The crank no longer comes with this part, but you can use the original crank. The crank is sold separately depending on the model number of your appliance. The ice chute door is a genuine OEM part. Evaporator/condensor fan grommet (grommet cond fan)

The evaporator fan motor grommet provides a cushion between the fan motor and the motor mounting bracket. This part is made of black plastic and is approximately one inch in diameter. If your grommet is torn or damaged and you are getting noise from the fan motor, you may need to replace it. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. Please remember to disconnect the power to the refrigerator before starting your repair.

Evaporator fan motor (refrigerator evaporator fan motor. If your motor has a white thermistor in the connector you need the related fan motor 914169. If it has a connector)

Recess door spring (spring, recess door)

This door recess spring or dispenser lever spring in your refrigerator is used to return the ice door to the closed position or the dispenser lever to the home position once released. You will find the spring in the water dispenser assembly, behind the main control panel. If the dispenser lever is malfunctioning or the dispenser ice door is not closing, you may need to replace this door recess spring.

Lid bumper (bumper)

This orange rubber bumper prevents the condenser fan motor from bumping against the mounting bracket every time the fan motor starts. If your refrigerator/freezer is noisy, the bumper could be worn down or missing, and the sound could be a result of the motor scraping the side bracket. You will find it between the fan motor and the side bracket on the evaporator fan motor assembly. It has a rounded top and a slightly pointed bottom. The bumper is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually.

Light switch (two wire door switch for interior light)

This is the light switch that goes in your refrigerator. If the light is not working or stays on, you may need to replace the switch. It is made of mainly white plastic, and is an OEM part, directly from the manufacturer. Be sure to disconnect the refrigerator from the power source before you begin this repair. To remove the switch, simply use a flathead screwdriver to pop the switch out from the refrigerator wall, then disconnect the wires. Reconnect the wires to the new switch, snap it into place, and the repair is complete.

Shelf stop - white (stop shelf)

The shelf stop in your refrigerator is what locks the shelf into the refrigerator liner. The shelf stop can be found attached to the shelf. To remove the shelf stop, begin pulling the shelf out until the stop hits the refrigerator liner, then depress the shelf stop to remove the shelf. With the shelf removed, you can simply slide the old stop out of its groove, and replace it with a new one. This part is made of white plastic and is about 1 inch in length. It is sold individually, and is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Dispenser door recess crank (dispenser door crank)

The door recess crank for your refrigerator is located inside the water dispenser assembly. To access this part, you will need to take apart the dispenser assembly. To do this, you will need a putty knife and a Phillips screwdriver. If your dispenser door will not close properly, or ice is not dispensing properly, you may have a damaged door recess crank.
