Problem: Frost and ice form in my freezer and my fridge is not cold enough.

Solutions:
  1. Check your defrost timer-it may be defective.


  2. Check your defrost heater-if defective, replace it.


  3. Check your defrost thermostat-if defective, replace it.



Problem: My fridge freezes my food even when I have it on the warmest setting.

Solution:
  1. Check your thermostat. If it is defective, replace it.



Problem: My freezer is always warm.

Solutions:
  1. Your interior light bulb may be staying on after the freezer door is closed. If this is the case, then your door switch may be defective. If it is, you will need to replace it.


  2. The icemaker may be stuck in ejection mode. You will have to unbind the ejection cam so that the icemaker can advance.


  3. A defective defrost timer, defrost heater, or defrost thermostat may also be the cause of a warm freezer. Check each of these, and if need be, replace any defective parts.


  4. Your freezer temperature setting may be set too low. If it is, adjust the freezer thermostat to a colder setting.



Problem: My Icemaker is not making ice.

Solutions:
  1. Your freezer temperature setting may be set too low. If it is, adjust the freezer thermostat to a colder setting.


  2. Your thermostat may be defective altogether. If it is, you will have to replace it.


  3. The water inlet valve could be filled with ice. If this is the case, thaw the tube and remove the blockage.


  4. The water valve may be defective. If it is, you should replace it.
