The flat style gas oven igniter is used to ignite the gas to light the oven burner, which produces heat for your range. If the element has shorted out, is no longer glowing, or is glowing but only orange or red rather than white, then you will need to replace the oven igniter. When replacing the igniter please be very careful not to touch the gray element part of the igniter as it is very fragile. The igniter measures approximately 3-3/4"in length and the amperage range is 3.3 to 3.6. This igniter kit can replace igniters for either the broil or bake burners and can replace shorter and longer igniters. The kit includes the igniter, 4 wire nuts, insulation, 2 wire assembly and a bracket. This is a genuine OEM part. This part is the oven bulb lens cover. It is made of glass and is approximately 3 inches in diameter. The lens cover protects the light bulb from being damaged. The main reason to replace the light lens cover is if it is cracked, damaged, or missing. Be sure that the lens cover is cool to the touch before you begin this repair. To remove the lens cover, simply turn it counter clockwise until you can remove it. Replace it with a new cover and turn it clockwise to lock it into place.
