The refrigerator light switch turns the interior light off and on when you open or close the refrigerator door. The light switch also prevents the front dispenser from working if the refrigerator door is opened. If the switch has shorted out or the light bulb is not turning on when the door is open, you may need to replace the switch. The evaporator fan motor grommet provides a cushion between the fan motor and the motor mounting bracket. This part is made of black plastic and is approximately one inch in diameter. This is the replacement hinge washer for your refrigerator. The hinge washer is mounted on the top of the door hinge pin, and supports the refrigerator door, allowing it to open and close easily. The main reason you would need to replace the hinge washer is if it is worn out, causing the refrigerator door to be more difficult to open and close. This orange rubber bumper prevents the condenser fan motor from bumping against the mounting bracket every time the fan motor starts. If your refrigerator/freezer is noisy, the bumper could be worn down or missing, and the sound could be a result of the motor scraping the side bracket. You will find it between the fan motor and the side bracket on the evaporator fan motor assembly. It has a rounded top and a slightly pointed bottom. The defrost timer acts like a clock, continually advances and alternates between activating the cooling cycle and the defrost heater. This 120V 60Hz defrost timer will cycle for twenty-five minutes after every six hours of run time. The timer itself is made of plastic, and its terminals are bent, the leads are internal, and the label is orange. If your refrigerator is too warm, freezer section is too warm, freezer is not defrosting, or leaking, you may need to replace the defrost timer. This is a genuine OEM part.
