The air filter is used in your air conditioner to help keep dirt, dust, and other airborne particles from getting into your home. The most common cause for window air conditioners to not blow cool air is blocked or dirty air filters. If the A/C air filter becomes clogged or dirty, it will cause little to no air flow over the evaporator coils which will cause frost to build up due to the cold air and no circulation. This will keep cool air circulating into the room and the filter will need to be replaced. The evaporator thermistor, also known as a thermistor, helps detects the evaporator temperature inside the air conditioner and then sends the information to the main control board. If your air conditioner is too warm, too cold, or not cooling properly, you may need to replace the evaporator thermistor. Please make sure to disconnect the power to the air conditioner before starting your repair. This is a genuine OEM evaporator thermistor.
