The black sleeve microwave diode is used as an electrical current control device inside the appliance. It will allow power to go one way but not the other. The door interlock switch kit contains 2 switches - 15 Amp - 125/250 Volt with 3/16-inch terminals. The switches are used to sense when the microwave door is open or closed. If your microwave will not start, or will not turn on, you may need to replace these switches. This is a genuine OEM kit. Please remember to disconnect the power to your microwave before starting the repair. PLEASE NOTE: The door interlock switch kit includes 2 single pole, double throw (SPDT) micro switches.
