The blower wheel and housing assembly attaches to the drive motor shaft, blows the air through the drum and out through the exhaust. If the dryer is taking too long to dry, is noisy, or there is no air flow during operation, then the blower wheel could be damaged or broken and will need to be replaced. This part is white in color and made of plastic. This blower wheel and housing assembly will fit 471 series Kenmore eclectic or gas dryers. Will also fit some Frigidaire, Crosley, Gibson and White Westinghouse gas or electric dryers. Please check your model number. The two-terminal high limit thermostat has a limit of 260 degrees Fahrenheit and acts as a safety mechanism that keeps the dryer from overheating. The thermostat will cut out when the internal dryer temperature reaches 260 and then cuts back in when the temperature drops by 70 degrees Fahrenheit. If your dryer is not heating, you may need to replace the thermostat. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to the dryer before starting your repair.
