The part includes the drum roller only and does not include the tri-rings. This part is sold separately. Most dryers require two drum rollers. It is recommended to check and replace both drum support rollers at the same time to ensure proper drum rotation and because they often wear at the same rate. This 240V/5400W heating element is strung with a coiled wire made of a nickel and a chrome alloy. This wire receives, but resists, a controlled electric current, causing the wire to heat up. The heat produced is used to dry the clothes in your dryer. If the dryer has no heat, takes too long to dry, or the heating element burns out, the heating element will need to be replaced since it cannot be repaired. This is a genuine OEM part. This 3-wire with leads dryer door switch is an on and off mechanism that prevents the dryer from operating while the door is open. The dryer will not operate until the door switch signals that the dryer door is closed. If the dryer won’t start, the lever broke off, or the switch shorted out, the appliance will not operate and the part will need to be replaced. The three-terminal high-limit thermostat with a terminal extension arm acts as a safety mechanism that keeps the dryer from overheating. When the dryer temperature reaches 221 degrees Fahrenheit, the thermostat will shut off power to the heating element until it drops by 80 degrees Fahrenheit. If your dryer has no heat, takes too long to dry or the thermostat has shorted out, you will need to replace the thermostat. This is a genuine OEM part. This drive motor operates the dryer by turning the drive belt which spins the drum and will fit most Whirlpool incorporated dryer brands before 1996.
