The line fuse, also known as a ceramic fuse, is used to protect your microwave when there is a power serge by shutting down the microwave to avoid damage. If your microwave has no heat, won’t turn on, or the touch pad is not working properly, you may need to replace the fuse. This part measures approximately 1.25” long and is sold individually. The microwave light lens covers and protects the light bulb from being damaged. The main reason you would need to replace the light lens cover is if it is cracked, damaged, or missing. Be sure that the lens cover is cool to the touch before you begin this repair. The light lens cover is made of glass and is approximately 6 3/8” x 2 3/8”. This is an OEM part sourced from the manufacturer, and it is sold individually.

The secondary door switch, also known as a micro switch, works in conjunction with your microwave by monitoring the door latch position and sending communication to the electronic control board to let it know if the latch is open or closed. When the door is shut, the door switch will close to send power to the microwave to operate. If the microwave won’t start, the switch has failed, and the part will need to be replaced. You can test the switch for continuity. This part measures 1.5” L x .75” W. Due to the high voltage capacitor in the microwave, it can retain a lethal electrical charge, even when unplugged, it is suggested to have a service technician install the part. Please disconnect power to the microwave before beginning the repair. This is a genuine OEM part.

The door interlock switch (normally closed) works in conjunction with your microwave operation. The switch will prohibit the microwave from starting when the microwave door is open. If your microwave won’t turn on or there is no heat you may need to replace the switch. This part measures 1.5” L x .75” W, 250 volts, is black in color with a red dot and is sold individually. Please remember to disconnect the power before starting your repair. This is a genuine OEM part.
