This is a replacement ice maker assembly. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and will freeze until ice cubes are formed. Once the water has been frozen the cubes will be ejected from the mold in to the ice bucket. The ice maker will continue the process until the ice bucket has reached the limit. If your ice maker is not making ice you may need to replace this part. Disconnect the power and water supply before starting your repair. This ice maker is a genuine OEM part. NOTE: This part has been updated by the manufacturer and does not include the cover, ice level arm or the wire harness. You can reuse those from the original ice maker.

The ice bucket is used to hold the ice cubes in the freezer section that are released from the ice maker until ready to be used. If the bin becomes lost or damaged, you will need to replace the bin. The bin is white in color, made of plastic, and measures approximately 15” x 12”. This is a genuine OEM part.

The ice maker fill cup and bearing dispenses the water into the ice mold during the fill cycle. If your ice maker is not making ice, is leaking, or the cup or bearing is cracked, you will need to replace this part. This part is three inches long, white in color, and is made of plastic. The ice maker thermostat, also known as bi-metal device, regulates and controls the activation of the icemaker ejection cycle. The thermostat lets the ice maker know when it is cold enough to produce ice. If your ice maker is not making ice or not dispensing ice, you may need to replace the thermostat. This is a genuine OEM part and comes with two retaining clips. Please remember to disconnect power to your refrigerator before starting your repair.

This part is used to help tell the icemaker what to do - it turns the timing cams and the ejector blades. It also controls the heater, the water inlet valve, the cube size, and cube ejection. The control assembly is located under the white cover of the ice maker. If the ice maker is making too much ice or not making ice at all, you may need to replace the control assembly. The motor is not sold separately. This is a genuine OEM part. Please make sure you disconnect power to the refrigerator before starting your repair.
