If your door shelf retainer bar is not staying in place you may need to replace the end cap. The end cap helps secure the bar in place on the refrigerator door. The fan blade attaches to the evaporator motor, which is in the freezer section, to help circulate the cold air into the refrigerator and freezer sections. This is a white cut-to-fit door shelf retainer bar that attaches to the refrigerator door to help hold in items in place. You may need to cut the bar to the size of your original door shelf retainer bar. If your door shelf is broken or lost you should replace it. This is a genuine OEM part.

It helps the compressor kick on and off while maintaining a constant temperature to keep things frozen in your freezer.
