The support clip is used to hold the broil element in place at the top of the oven cavity. If the clip is broken or damaged, you will need to replace the part. The support clip is made of metal, is a little over an inch long, and is sold individually. This is a genuine OEM part.

The broil element with push-on terminals is located on the roof of the oven cavity to supply heat for broiling.
