If the microwave won’t start, then the switch has failed and will need to be replaced. This genuine OEM light socket provides power to the light bulb in your microwave while holding it in place. This light socket is two pronged and the bulb should screw easily into it. If your light bulb will not light, check the bulb itself and light socket’s connection. If the socket is broken, or faulty it should be replaced immediately. Make sure to remove the high-voltage capacitor from your microwave before beginning this repair.
