The blower wheel and housing assembly attaches to the drive motor shaft, blows the air through the drum and out through the exhaust. If the dryer is taking too long to dry, is noisy, or there is no air flow during operation, then the blower wheel could be damaged or broken and will need to be replaced. This part is white in color and made of plastic. This blower wheel and housing assembly will fit 471 series Kenmore eclectic or gas dryers. Will also fit some Frigidaire, Crosley, Gibson and White Westinghouse gas or electric dryers. Please check your model number. Please be sure to disconnect the power to your dryer before starting your repair. This is a genuine OEM part.

The blower wheel, which is usually plastic, may wear out over time. But if it's noisy, it may simply be clogged with lint. Clean the blower and test to see if the dryer is still noisy. If it is, you probably need to replace it.
