This ice maker assembly is used to make ice in your refrigerator. The ice maker receives water from the water inlet valve and will freeze until ice cubes are formed. Once the water has been frozen the cubes will be ejected from the mold into the ice bucket. The ice maker will continue the process until the ice bucket has reached the limit. If your ice maker is not making ice you may need to replace this part. This kit includes the fill cup, 4-pin wire harness adapter, and a tube. Disconnect the power and water supply before starting your repair. This ice maker is a genuine OEM part.

The ice maker water line is used to direct and supply water to the ice maker during the fill cycle. This waterline is located on the back wall of your refrigerator/freezer, is made of plastic and is 1/4” in diameter. If the water line becomes damaged it could cause water to leak on the floor and the tubing will need to be replaced. Please remember to disconnect the power and water supply before starting your repair. This is a genuine OEM part.

When energized, the water inlet valve will release water from the supply line into the ice mold and the water dispenser in the refrigerator. If the ice maker is not making/dispensing ice, not dispensing water, or leaking, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is in the back section of your refrigerator and will need to be pulled out from the wall and make sure to disconnect both the water and power supply before starting your repair. As per the manufacturer, this valve has a new quick connection. You must cut the retaining nut off your current plastic water line, and gently push it into the new valve.

The water inlet valve works in conjunction with your refrigerator by supplying water to the water dispenser and the ice maker in your appliance. If there is no water coming from the water dispenser or the ice maker is not making any ice you may need to replace the water inlet valve. The valve is 120 volts, 15 Watts, and 60 Hz. This part measures approximately 3.25” L x 1.75” W x 4.5” H and is a genuine OEM part. When starting your repair please remember to disconnect the water supply and the power to the refrigerator.
