The refrigerator light switch turns the interior light off and on when you open or close the refrigerator door. The light switch also prevents the front dispenser from working if the refrigerator door is opened. If the switch has shorted out or the light bulb is not turning on when the door is open, you may need to replace the switch. This switch is white in color and measures approximately 1 1/2” L x 1 1/4” W. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to the refrigerator before starting the repair.

Compressor Start Relay

The compressor start relay attaches to the compressor to help start the compressor motor and then shuts off as soon as the motor gets up to speed. The relay is black in color and measures approximately 1”. If your refrigerator is not running you may need to replace the relay. You can use a multimeter to check the continuity. The overload is not included with the start relay. The overload must be ordered separately. Please remember to disconnect the power before starting your repair. This is a genuine OEM compressor start relay.

Run Capacitor

The run capacitor, with new crimp wire connectors, is attached to the compressor and is 250 volts. It helps the compressor kick on and off while maintaining a constant temperature to keep things frozen in your freezer. If your refrigerator is too warm, will not start, or your freezer section is to warm, you may need to replace this part. This is a genuine OEM part. The white door light switch is in the control panel section of your refrigerator. The light will turn on when you open the door. If the light doesn?t turn on when the door is open the contacts in the switch could be burnt out and will need to be replaced. This is a genuine OEM part. This is a genuine replacement switch. It is a push button style switch that is designed for use in your refrigerator. When the door of your appliance is opened the switch is released, and the light comes on. When you close the door the switch is pressed in, and the light turns off. You may need a putty knife to remove your old switch.
