Drive motor (switch, motor)

The drive motor operates the trash compactor press, also known as a ram, that helps compact the trash. When in use the drive motor will activate the press by turning the gears and a chain, causing it to lower into the trash, compact it and then raise back up. If your compactor is noisy or not compacting, you may need to replace the motor. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to the trash compactor before starting the repair.

This screw is sold individually. Size: 8-32 x 1/4 inch.

Foot pedal - white (pedal, foot white)

This part is used to operate the trash compactor.

Compactor button kit (retainer, bag (contains 4 each))

Manufacturer's Number: 4163646 Replacement button for compactors. Buttons attach to the compactor, and the bags hook securely over the buttons. Fits 15" and 18" compactors. Sold individually.

Container spring (spring, container)

This part is a container spring for your trash compactor. When you release the container latch the spring will push the container out slightly. The most common reason to replace the spring in your compactor is if the drawer is hard to open or close. Disconnect power to your trash compactor before starting your repair.
