Expert Repair Guide

  1. To replace a drum support roller kit, first disconnect power from your dryer.
  2. Remove the screws on the bottom of the front panel and then lifting from the bottom outward, remove the front panel.
  3. Then remove the four screws holding the bulkhead in place, then lift up and pull forward to remove the bulkhead.
  4. Reach in behind the drum and roll the belt off the idler pulley.
  5. Once the belt is removed, pull the drum forward and out of the dryer.
  6. The drum support rollers are held with a snap ring, remove the snap ring, roller and washer.
  7. Install the new washer, roller and snap ring.
  8. Now replace the belt, but draping it over the rear bulkhead and roughly locating it where it should be near the motor and idler.
  9. Next take the drum and slide it in the cabinet, most of the way.
  10. Once it’s almost on the drum rollers, reach up and put the belt around the drum.
  11. Then slide the drum completely in place and reattached the belt to the motor and idler.
  12. Then reattach the bulk head, and then the front plate.
