The door hinge attaches to the side of the door allowing the oven door to open, close, and stay open at an angle. If your door is not opening and closing correctly you may need to replace the hinge. The bake element supplies heat to the oven for baking. It is located on the bottom of the oven cavity. If your oven is too hot, the element is shorted out, or is not heating evenly you may need to replace the element. The element is made of metal and is a genuine OEM part.
