The temperature sensor detects the temperature within the oven cavity. If your oven is too hot, not heating evenly, or has little to no heat when baking, you may need to replace the temperature sensor. The sensor is usually located in the back of the oven. To complete this repair, you will need a screwdriver to remove the screws holding the cooktop in place. Lift the cooktop up, and remove the screw and clip holding the old burner in place. Replace with the new element.

The burner switch turns the surface element on and off and controls the amount of heat the element produces. If you are unable to start your heating element, or if the temperature is unpredictable, you may have a damaged surface burner switch.
