This bin temperature sensor is for ice makers. The bin temperature sensor monitors the temperature in the ice maker bin and sends the temperature reading to the electronic control board. Disconnect the power before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

If your standalone ice maker is making too much ice, not enough ice, or none, you may need to replace the bin thermostat. This part will sense how much ice is in the bin and decide if it should produce more or stop the production of ice. You can test the thermostat for continuity with an ohm meter. This part is made of metal and plastic and is white in color. This is a genuine OEM part.

The temperature sensor is in the water pump area of the ice cube maker. This part helps to determine the water level in the water reservoir. Once the water reaches a certain level the temperature sensor will send a signal to the controls to fill the reservoir. This is a genuine OEM part. Please make sure you disconnect the power to the ice cube maker before starting your repair.
