Got rid of "fwop, fwop, fwop, fwop ..." noise in spin cycle
I wasn't sure this was going to get the job done because the spring tension didn't feel that different than the old ones just by bending them by hand, but it really stiffened up the tub rocking and the "fwop, fwop, fwop" we used to get during the spin cycle disappeared. The repair was pretty easy and I was able to get the springs hooked on by pushing the tub to each side as I went. Getting the anchor nuts off took a 7/16" deep-well socket from below. Probably could have used a 7/16" wrench in a pinch. Definitely do your YouTube research on this as it makes it a lot faster and more pleasant if you know exactly what comes next in the process. I still have noise in the agitation/wash cycle, but that's the tub-bearing and seal so that's next-weekend's honey-do project :)
