When energized, the water inlet valve will release water from the supply line into the ice mold and the water dispenser in the refrigerator. If the ice maker is not making or dispensing ice, not dispensing water, or leaking, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. The water inlet valve is in the back section of your refrigerator and will need to be pulled out from the wall. Make sure to disconnect both the water and power supply before starting your repair. NOTE: This part may appear different than the original but is an authorized manufacturer replacement.

After replacing this part everything worked fine , the water dispenser worked immediately,even the ice dispenser started working. But now since replacing this part the ice dispenser has stopped working. leading me to think something else is causing this part to partially fail.
