Refrigerator door switch

The light switch lights up the interior cabinet of the refrigerator or freezer when the door is opened. If you open the door and the light won’t come on, or the light is always on, you may need to replace the light switch. The switch is white in color and measures approximately 2 1/2”. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power before starting the repair.

Refrigerator water filter (water filter)

This refrigerator water filter replacement is for 2010 LG refrigerators that have either forward French doors or are the four-door dispensing models. This filter is designed to minimize impurities that can cause ill-tasting water or an unpleasant smell. It reduces sediment, dirt, rust, limescale, sand, and many other contaminants that can be harmful to your health and the life of your appliance. This filter should be replaced every 6 months or 200 gallons to ensure top quality performance. To remove your unwanted filter, press the push button to open the filter cover (water may spill from the hole), pull out the old cartridge in a downward motion. To install the new filter, make it so the ears are in the horizontal position and push the new cartridge into the housing until it stops. Push the filter upward until it is secure. Click the cover to lock it in place. Run water for approximately 5 minutes to prep the filter for use, and discard water. Reset the “filter reset” button if applicable.

The hinge bushing is used in conjunction with the opening and closing of the refrigerator/freezer door. The hinge bushing attaches to the inside of the door panel and provides the door hinge pin a smooth surface to pivot on. This part is white in color, made of plastic and measures 1”. This door bin is for refrigerators. The door bin attaches to the inside of the refrigerator door and typically holds jars and bottles. Follow the instructions in the owner's manual for installing this part.

Evaporator fan motor

This 13-volt evaporator fan motor helps circulate air over the refrigerator coils. These coils will then convert the heat into cool air, which is then circulated from the freezer section to the fresh food section. If the fresh food section is too warm or the motor has failed, you will need to replace the evaporator fan motor. It is suggested to replace the thermistor when replacing the evaporator fan. The fan motor is in the freezer section of the refrigerator, and includes the harness and plug. Please remember to disconnect the power to the refrigerator before starting your repair. This is a genuine OEM part.

Compressor (refrigerator compressor assembly set)

This part must be installed by a licensed and trained LG technician that is able to perform a software update, which is required for the installation of this compressor. Part number CJT30000002 is needed to perform the update. Also, the three pins on the side of the new compressor may be oriented differently than the original. If different, when installing the new compressor the compressor electrical connector must be rotated 45 degrees counter-clockwise.
