This is known as a tub bearing or a rear bearing, and it is part for your washing machine. The function of this bearing is to be a support for the spin basket shaft that is located at the back of the washer tub. It screws into the base of your washer, and you can thread it in or out to adjust the height. The foot on this leg is made of rubber, which helps with grip, stabilization, and vibration reduction. It is also hexagonal in shape, which allows you to more easily adjust it. Before beginning this repair, turn off the power and water supply to your washer. The filter assembly may need to be replaced because it is broken or is leaking water. To locate the filter assembly, pry open the small door on the front of the washer, using a flat-blade screwdriver. Unplug the drain hose next to the filter and drain the water into a bucket. Then unscrew the pump filter, and replace with your new one.
