Light bulb - 40w (bulb-light)

This part is the exterior replacement light bulb, with a small screw base, for your microwave. If your light bulb is burnt out, it will not be able to do this, and will need to be replaced. Before you change the bulb, be sure to check that the light socket still works, as it may need to be replaced as well. This bulb is 40 watts, is sold individually and is a genuine OEM part. Remember to disconnect the microwave from the power source before you begin this repair.

Grease filter

Sold individually. This metallic vent hood filter collects grease particles in the air from cooking.

The grease filter works in conjunction with microwaves and is used to help collect grease particles in the air from cooking. The grease filter is chrome in color and measures 7 3/4” L x 5” W. This grease filter is sold individually. Most microwaves require two filters, please check your model for correct quantity needed before ordering. This is a genuine OEM grease filte

Light bulb - 120v 25w (bulb-light)

This 25-watt, 120-volt light bulb is 2.5 inches long. It has a small, screw-in base and it is used in many different appliances. If your current bulb is burnt out or broken you will need to replace it. This light bulb is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually.

Light bulb - 120v 30w (incandescent lamp)

This 30 watt 120 volt incandescent light bulb, with a small screw base is used to light up the surface below your microwave or brighten the interior of the microwave once the door has been opened. If your light bulb is burnt out it will need to be replaced. Before you change the bulb, be sure to check that the light socket still works, as it may need to be replaced as well. Remember to disconnect the power to the microwave before you begin this repair. This is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually.

Micro switch (microwave door switch. This switch is normally open. When the microwave door is shut, the door switches close to send power to the microwave.)

The microwave primary door switch, also known as a micro switch, is normally open. When the door is shut, the door switch will close to send power to the microwave to operate. If the microwave won’t start, then the switch has failed, and the part will need to be replaced. The micro switch is in the latch board section and monitors the position of the door. This part measures 1.5” L x .75” W NOTE: Due to the high voltage capacitor in the microwave, it can retain a lethal electrical charge, even when unplugged. It is suggested to have a service technician install the part. This is a genuine OEM part. Please disconnect the power to the microwave before beginning the repair.

Charcoal air filter (air filter)

Air duct bracket (LG damper exhaust bracket)

This bracket holds the metal or plastic flapper that closes off the exhaust duct when the fan is not running and opens when the fan turns on. If the exhaust fan on your microwave does not appear to be working, the problem may be with the damper assembly. If the damper does not open and close easily, check for any damage to the bracket, and replace if it is damaged or faulty. This genuine OEM exhaust damper measures approximately 12 inches long by 5 inches wide.

Micro switch

The interlock door switch, also known as a micro switch, will prevent the microwave from operating if the door is open. This switch has been updated by the manufacturer. It may appear different in appearance but will still function as the original part. This part has a green button and measures approximately a little over an inch long. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to the microwave before starting the repair.

Door interlock switch kit (switch)

The door interlock switch kit contains 2 switches - 15 Amp - 125/250 Volt with 3/16-inch terminals. The switches are used to sense when the microwave door is open or closed. If your microwave will not start, or will not turn on, you may need to replace these switches. This is a genuine OEM kit. Please remember to disconnect the power to your microwave before starting the repair. PLEASE NOTE: The door interlock switch kit includes 2 single pole, double throw (SPDT) micro switches. As per the manufacture for the secondary interlock switch order part # 56001100.
