This is a water filter 3-pack, designed for use with LG refrigerators. The filter is an OEM LG part that reduces lead and other metal content in the water, as well as the taste of chlorine, and the contamination of pesticides and other VOCs (volatile organic compounds). This filter needs to be replaced every 6 months, or until the water flow becomes noticeably weak. This part contains three filters, all of which can be removed by rotating them counterclockwise out of their filter port, and then clockwise with the new filter until it clicks into place. Once it is installed, make sure to flush it out by dispensing a total of 2.5 gallons in 30-second intervals.
