This is a water filter designed for use within Samsung refrigerators. This is a genuine OEM filter that comes by itself and needs to be replaced every 6 months, or after approximately 300 gallons/1136 liters of use. When replacing your refrigerator water filter, simply twist the old filter counterclockwise to remove, and rotate the new filter in clockwise to secure it. Then flush 3 gallons of water through it to rinse any sediment before using the dispenser.
