The newer version of the coupler kit is made with new metal sleeves for added strength. This part is located between the motor and transmission on the direct drive washer that does not have a belt. The coupler will break to protect the motor from damage if the drive motor system seizes up. If your washer will not fill, will not agitate or spin, but it will drain the water from the tub, you may need to replace this part because it has failed. This is a genuine OEM part. Disconnect the power to your washer before starting the repair.

Great part - slow shipping

The part was in great condition and worked perfectly. However, I paid for expedited shipping that was supposed to be 2-3 days and ended up being 5 business days. I ordered the part on a Sunday afternoon, paid extra money for 2-3 day shipping and still received the part late Friday evening. I could have received it by Friday with free shipping from Amazon, but ordered with Easy Appliance Parts specifically for expedited shipping. I understand that shipping may take longer right now, but expedited shipping should not be available (and you shouldn't allow people to pay for it) if it cannot be guaranteed.
