Light switch (switch light)

The refrigerator light switch turns the interior light off and on when you open or close the refrigerator door. The light switch also prevents the front dispenser from working if the refrigerator door is opened. If the switch has shorted out or the light bulb is not turning on when the door is open, you may need to replace the switch. Recess door spring (spring recess door)

This door recess spring or dispenser lever spring in your refrigerator is used to return the ice door to the closed position or the dispenser lever to the home position once released. You will find the spring in the water dispenser assembly, behind the main control panel. If the dispenser lever is malfunctioning or the dispenser ice door is not closing, you may need to replace this door recess spring.

Compression ring (ring compression)

Drawer slide rail - left side (slide asm lh)

This drawer slide rail is for the left side of the refrigerator, and allows the bottom shelf to slide in and out. If your refrigerator door will not close, or the bottom drawer will not slide properly, you may need to replace the slide rail. Lid bumper (bumper lid)

This orange rubber bumper prevents the condenser fan motor from bumping against the mounting bracket every time the fan motor starts. If your refrigerator/freezer is noisy, the bumper could be worn down or missing, and the sound could be a result of the motor scraping the side bracket. You will find it between the fan motor and the side bracket on the evaporator fan motor assembly. It has a rounded top and a slightly pointed bottom. The bumper is a genuine OEM part and is sold individually.

Defrost thermostat (use 5303917954)

The defrost thermostat snaps onto the top portion of the evaporator. It acts as a safety device and protects the evaporator from overheating during the defrost cycle. The thermostat can sense the rise in the evaporator temperature during the defrost cycle and cycles the defrost heater off after all the frost is melted from the coils. This limiter thermostat will cut out when the temperature inside your refrigerator reaches 55 degrees Fahrenheit and kicks back in when the internal temperature drops to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. The defrost thermostat may need to be replaced if the appliance is experiencing temperature-related issues. This is a genuine OEM part. It is recommended to disconnect the power to your appliance before starting your repair.
